Fire Victim's Fund |

 The Associates Group for Affordable Housing, Inc. is very pleased to have been asked to establish the Oakridge Fire Victim's Fund for the victims of last month's devastating Sayre Fire in Sylmar, California. The fund has been established with donations from local churches and individuals, and seeks to help those victims living in the Oakridge Mobile Home Park. Purchase Breaks New Ground
 An old line FHA mobilehome park financing program, newly revived by the Bush Administration to help provide affordable housing, has provided credit enhancement for $7,830,000 of Multifamily Housing Revenue Bonds issued by the Kern County Housing Authority which have been used by The Associates Group for Affordable Housing (TAG), a San Clemente non-profit housing developer, for the purchase and renovation of the Pioneer Pines Mobilehome Park in East Bakersfield in Central California.

Cedarhill Mobile Country Club
The most recent variety of park conversion was accomplished through the joint efforts of the owners of the park, The Associates Group for Affordable housing, Inc. (TAG) and The Gibbs Law Firm, APC. After consultation with the law firm, it was decided that the best method for the sale of the park was a full subdivision, in which each space would be converted to an individual lot.

TAG recognized as a future force in park conversions
In the January 13, 2003 issue of Crittenden's Manufactured Housing Community ReportTM, they recognized that non-profit organizations like TAG will continue to assist lower income families by working to purchase parks with the end goal of converting them to resident ownership.
